It grabbed me by the throat right away. The high-intensity nature of BPD was powerful, you can feel it bleeding through the pages, what it's like to live with this disease. My own mood disorder has some symptoms in common with BPD, so much of it was incisive and intensely relatable; other parts of it unique to BPD were both frightening, fascinating, but ultimately, understandable.-Janna

What makes this work so interesting is that the author not only suffered through yet was able to recover from one of the least known yet most self-destructive of mental illnesses, but also has a degree in psychology herself.- Nadine

I was immediately drawn to reading this book because I struggle with my own mental health and I’m glad I sat down to read this. It’s a relatable and humorous memoir that I could not put down. It took me about an hour to get through. I believe so many people could benefit from reading this whether they have BPD or not. It’s such an uplifting and succinct look into self love and understanding.-Tihana

As both a therapist and person living with BPD (yes we exist! - but we do a whole lotta work) this book has been crucial in changing how I see myself. For starters it put words to so many shared feelings and experiences both I and the author have had. That normalizing is not just beautiful but crucial - it keeps people alive to feel in community and not alone. But it has also reminded me as a therapist the importance of setting clear boundaries (but kind!). After reading it I took a slightly different approach with a client who was dysregulated and it was very effective! That was so valuable for me and helpful in my professional growth. I believe this book will change lives, and, the world.- Sara
